The three tasks
of the RRI Hub​

The RRI Hub aims to foster an intensive cooperation between science, society, industry and industry and politics, resulting in greater mutual transparency, acceptance, and the development of solutions for complex challenges.
The RRI Hub anchors responsible research and innovation as one of the central guiding ideas in research, teaching and transfer and thus acts as a nucleus for a socially responsible orientation of the university.

 

The focus areas of the RRI Hub

The RRI Hub's research, teaching, and transfer activities are organized around three focus areas.

The RRI Hub's activities are centered around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and prioritize sustainability and responsible development. Their objective is to offer a holistic comprehension of sustainability and highlight the significance of all its dimensions while also encouraging students to act responsibly. Additionally, the research, teaching, and transfer activities of the RRI Hub aim to promote a sustainable and responsible future.

Social Innovation"

Starting from the intersection of social innovation and RRI, the RRI Hub's research, teaching and transferactivities focus on social innovation and social entrepreneurship. Specifically, the RRI Hub delves into the role of technical universities in advancing social innovation and social entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the RRI Hub strives to strengthen the transfer into society by implementing various projects with regional and supra-regional actors.

Artificial Intelligence

The emergence of digitalization and AI as major catalysts of technological advancements has resulted in long-term implications for society and communities, productivity, equity and the environment. The RRI Hub focuses on exploring ways to integrate sustainability and diversity perspectives into AI systems, to ensure ethical and responsible use. Through participation in the RRI Hub's teaching activities, students can engage in collaborative, interdisciplinary work teams to develop socially innovative solutions to challenges arising from digitization and AI.
